Yes! In fact, it's normally easiest if the customer chooses to purchase the item from a retailer and have it shipped directly to Ren (for example, purchasing a perfume bottle online, and choosing Ren's address for shipping). The customer usually saves time and money overall.
Once the customer pays for the project in full, an address will be provided in order to ship the item directly to Ren. As soon as the item arrives safely, you'll receive an email from Ren confirming receipt. The approval process and production time will begin immediately, and it normally takes approximately 7 business days before the finished product is ready to ship back to the customer.
Any costs for return shipping will be estimated ahead of time, to be reimbursed in full by the customer prior to etching. Please understand that coordination of shipping back and forth (as well as communication) takes time, so keep that in mind if you have a hard deadline to meet.

- Generally speaking, engraving pricing will increase depending on the complexity of the project. Typically, the more words or added florals or illustrative lines, the higher the project price.

- Free porch pickup for local folks is available.
There are so many products that look wonderful with custom engraving! Common materials are glass and most metals, but stone, slate and marble, some plastics, and leather can be done. Please inquire about a surface you aren't sure about.

- glass perfume / fragrance bottles
- wine and liquor bottles — but NOT bubbly, as there is always a risk of bursting a bottle under pressure
- most metal items — such as flasks, coated or uncoated steel bottles, etc.
- special glassware that you've purchased
I'm very sorry, but I choose to NOT engrave heirloom items that cannot be replaced. I also choose to not engrave guns.
Again, pressurized bottles such as champagne should not be engraved, as there could be a risk during engraving and anytime afterwards, as the vibrations can build up pressure and may cause it to burst. However, if you would like to personalize bubbly, metallic paint lettering is a beautiful and safe option! Inquire with an email to Ren directly if you'd like more info about painted lettering for your item.
With any of my products, I welcome any local customer to drop off or pick up their items to avoid shipping!

Yes, I am happy to offer discounts on larger orders for hand engraving! Often this applies to large events or companies who are looking for personalized hand calligraphy or designs for bulk items. All of this is priced according to the project and complexity, but please reach out with a direct email to Ren to start the conversation.
Metallic color fill definitely glams up the lettering, there's no doubt! You should be aware of some things before deciding to add this to your custom engraving order:
- The product I use for metallic fill is called Rub n' Buff, which is a high-quality wax metallic paste, and looks gorgeous when added to glass surfaces.
- Technically, the product is a paint, and not intended for surfaces that come in contact with food or your mouth. Because of that, I do not recommend it for glassware that will be used by children. I design etchings that are not close to the drinking area of the glass, so I personally feel that it is not a health hazard for adults when they are aware (and the Rub n' Buff company assures me it's okay) — but that is my opinion, and if you are unsure about using a chemical product on a drinking glass, then please do not choose this option for your item.
- Using Rub n' Buff on a liquor or wine bottle, perfume bottle, or other surface that isn't intended for drinking and eating, will be absolutely fine, and I can confidently recommend upgrading for these items because it is beautiful!
- Please note that there is the possibility of the metallic fill rubbing off with age and hand washing. The engraving lines will remain, as that is permanently etched. If this fact bothers you, either don't choose metallic fill — or, you can certainly purchase a small tube of Rub n' Buff on your own to easily refresh the look yourself (it isn't terribly expensive!).
I will only do metallic fill upon request. Thank you for understanding that though the metallic fill option is hugely popular (and stunning!), there are technically health hazards to be aware of. I wanted to be transparent and make my customers fully aware before purchase!
Unfortunately, I choose to decline engraving any logos or computer-generated fonts. I will only custom engrave a project that is my own artwork or calligraphic script lettering.
If you require a logo or specific fonts, a simple Etsy search will bring up many, many small business owners that will laser etch your project. Their process uses a laser machine to perfectly etch a computer file, and while I may use lasers in my engraving process at times, I stand by my business model to only create items that use my original artwork.
